What is voc ed?
Bored by the same old subjects? Fancy getting more hands-on? Find out more about voc ed!
What exactly is 'voc ed'?
Voc ed is another way of saying vocational education - a set of work-related subjects and courses you can study in school, college, at a training centre or in the workplace.
What's so good about it?
- Voc ed courses can be mixed and matched with other courses like GCSEs or A levels.
- They're nationally recognised qualifications, which means they can help you get a job or a place at college or university, just like other GCSEs and A levels.
- Most courses offer a more practical, hands-on approach to learning, giving you an insight into the world of work, as well as the chance to learn by doing.
- They give you the kind of skills employers are looking for, such as teamwork, problem solving, communicating and presenting.
