Did you know?
- Every year of extra education adds £50,000 to your income over your working lifetime.
- People under 30 with no qualifications are three times as likely to be unemployed as those with an NVQ Level 2 or above.
- People with a Level 4 qualification (eg BTEC Professional Diplomas, Certificates and Awards) are likely to earn twice as much by their mid-thirties as people with no qualifications.
- Almost half of all unemployed people in South Yorkshire have no qualifications.
- Over half of the new jobs coming into South Yorkshire will be asking for NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 qualifications.
- Since 1993 the number of jobs available to people with no qualifications has halved.
